Red
found objects, spray paint, red lightbulbs
2016

This piece features an array of disgarded household objects, painted over with red spray paint. They are arranged in a way that causes disorientation in regards to the known contexts of the objects and provides the viewer with a focus on the forms of the pieces instead of their meanings. The cast red light provides further unity of the items, and muting of their former designs, while also further accentuating their shapes and details through the heavy shadows that are cast.
